Looking for Spring

It may be threatening to rain tomorrow, but Spring has still sprung in my little corner of the world.

So, I'm going into spring knitting mode. I'm going to focus on spring and "cruise" wear from now until after the Sea Socks cruise. That means putting Central Park Hoodie on hold.... but it does mean getting to use this pretty green Garnstudio Safran

for this! The Bonita Shirt, from Summer 2006.

And this... you know, to go with a "little black dress" - toooooo cute, from the latest IK Knits.

.... and I've got a list of others long enough to keep me busy for quite a while.

First, I need to finish my Ene's scarf. I've finished the border, and am QUITE excited about the fact that the rows get smaller and smaller as I knit on. Sweet!

Off to knit.... but first, one more picture for all of you snowed in...hope you warm up and see some spring of your own soon!

There is something just SO wrong about you having spring flowers! Not fair! We got slammed yesterday with the snowing and wind and freezing cold. No daffodils to be seen for miles.....

I have always loved the Bonita. I remember drooling over it when I first saw it. It would be super for cruise wear! (Lucky!)

Happy Valentine's Day Lynda buddy!

Lovely daffodils! Ours have been in the bud stage for a while now since things got chilly again.

Your spring knitting will be beautiful! I'm looking forward to seeing it.

I have admired that Bonita top since that issue came out. I still may knit it but now at least I will get to watch your progress on it!

None of my bulbs are sprouting up yet, but I just planted them in December after chilling in the fridge for 3 months. So that I don't have 4 inch tall tulips!

It'll be awhile before I see Spring. But that's okay ... I'm still in the Winter knitting mode. I might be longing for it to BE Spring ... but just one more month to go before I get the fever!

Thanks for the Daffodil treat. It is snowing like crazy here. And, do you have a little black dress? I don't have one, and I have always wanted one.

Lynda,
Thank you for the lovely pictures of spring flowers. We are still about six weeks away from them, but I am looking forward to it. Here in Western PA, we are snowed and iced in. You seem to accomplish so much more knitting than I do, but I love it so I will keep it up.

I enjoy reading your blog and check in everyday to see what you are up to.

Enjoy your day!
Kim

I have Scarf Style and must make Ene. I'm working on Icarus right now, and the rows just get longer and longer. I should have done Ene first! Your cruise projects look perfect and fun.

I'm also in Southern CA so don't have anything weather-wise to complain about, except to wonder why people around here freak out and completely forget how to drive when there's even the slightest spittle of rain. Grr.

Spring? I vaguely seem to remember that season... it involves flowers and sun, right? Right now we are digging out from an ice storm, so I will turn my thoughts to spring!

Those are beautiful spring photos :)

I've been thinking of spring knits too but I'm loathe to put down my winter sweater!

Lovely - you have even more flowers than we have? But the weather's been gorgeous - I feel like spring knitting, too!

That wrap was immediately on my list to knit when IK came in the mail!
Bonita too is on my one day list...
