I'm catching up on blog reading. Prayers said for your dad. Looks like you are set for the wait. Your sock knitting is INSPIRATIONAL. I am almost finished with my second pair this year. I'll post by Saturday.

Emerald Eyes - I totally get that name and am old enough to remember Camaros and CB radios. I was never in the cool group either - thank goodness we never have to go back to high school!

best wishes for your dad's surgery! you sound well prepared :) it's a good thing knitting provides solace and distraction in situations like these. whatever you knit will be reminiscent of this time.
LOTS of knitting is right: i knitted an urban outfitters circular shawl in a day when i stayed with my SIL the day my niece was born.

I'm saying a little prayer for your dad. Knitting and chocolate. Sounds great for just about any occasion, but essential for a hospital waiting room.

::hugs::

Tell Kaity she better come over to Affiknitty and leave a comment if she wants to have a shot at that Lorna's Laces! I know she loves it!
