MORE yarn - and "California" girls...

Ok - for someone who doesn't, really doesn't stash yarn, I certainly seem to have acquired quite a bit lately.

Hmmm, let's see, some pretty soft gray-green Shine Worsted for my Sizzle, some burgundy KnitPicks Gloss (oooh, merino and silk), and some Knit Picks dyeable yarn for nothing in particular, just because they make lace weight dyeable now...

Oh yes, my favorite yarn store owner called and said my special order yarn is in... so I guess I'll have even MORE yarn tomorrow! Sweet!

And, for your amusement (and, with Ms. Booshay most in mind - she enjoyed these last year) - the L.A. County fair commercials. Too funny.... Seriously, if you haven't seen them, it's more than worth your 30 seconds.

But, I hate to admit, yesterday when Kaity and I were ooohing over my new mohair yarn, Daughter #2, Lily, actually asked, "What's a Mo?"

I kid you not... she really did. I'm slightly embarrassed ;o)

What's a Mo? Oh too funny! ... and I have tears in my eyes over the commercials. BTW, Lynda I graduated from Savanna High in Anaheim, CA in 1967 ... but I originated from New England 2 years before that ... But all those different hairs ARE confussing, hehe.

Bllllaaahahaahaha hehehe Ohhhh... to knit the hair of the elusive *MO*. TOO cute. heh

Gosh I really wanted to get some of the Shine Worsted when it was on sale. Oh well - it's still not too expensive. Watch for it to be a little fuzzy and possibly pilly. I haven't worn my Shine sweater too much but when I was knitting it I definitely thought "this could really get pilly on me."

It sounds like Lily needs to go to the fair!

Nice stash enhancement! I love the colorway of your Gloss yarn. I hope you enjoy knitting with it as much as I have.

so i guess you've got almost everyone in your household trained :P

the gloss looks so tempting in burgundy. I'm with Lily on this, why did they name it after "mo" if there is no "mo"?? :) :)

And Lily's not even a blonde (as in a California blond)!! Too funny! So how much 'mo'lah do you have to fork over to those girls to have blog fodder?!!

Check out my little California blond in her new "Wendy Wear".

This is my first visit to your blog, and you are very funny. I think maybe you do stash yarn now, and that skein of Knit Picks - WOW! That is definately the super size version - I have never seen a skein so big. I think I have skein envy now... Happy knitting.

p.s. The "mo" story was too cute.
