I am a relatively "new knitter" - about two years now,... striving to live a life centered on God's will for me as a wife, mother, and homemaker. I'm blessed with a dear hubby and three kids- and I can't believe it took me 40-some-odd years to figure out I LOVE TO KNIT!!!

I used to do English Smocking, too. Love the little dresses. My son was too old when I began smocking and alas, no girls! So I smocked and pleated for others. IT was fun, but I love knitting more.
Whoa. Smocking is something that really impresses me. Gorgeous.
Amy
They are so beautiful.
gorgeous! gorgeous! GEORGIOUS! : D
My Mom smocked many many dresses for me, made Christening gowns for all 3 of my monsters, I remember my lunch lady in 2nd grade telling me what a cute dress I had on, I told her that my mom made it, and maybe she could make her one too!
Wow . . . I am SO IMPRESSED!!!! HELLOO . . . who was it that recently said they didn't inherit the crafty gene? I believe you even less now than I did the other day. :)
Wow! That takes real talent! They're gorgeous.
Wow, total flashback!
Ah ha! See! We all knew you had crafty genes. Those dresses are exquisite.
Aw!! Those are so lovely!! I had a few of those as a little girl but I think all mine came from JC Penny's! What a great thing for your girls to have when they grow up!
That's so gorgeous!! And I'm with Karen here, who was lamenting just the other day about not inheriting a crafty gene?! I told you that you had them in droves up the ying yang. ;-) Your smocking is beautiful! Take care and have a fantastic weekend, Lynda! :-)
Those are beautiful! You definately do have crafty genes :)
Egads those are pretty. Such lucky girls.
And yeah, what is this about not inheriting a crafty gene?
Your dresses are so pretty. I'm terrible-I have several outfits cut out and waiting in drawers for me. I can't stop knitting long enough to get to them! I swore this year that I would finish my dd's spring dress for her and make a smocked shirt for my youngest son. Already have the button-on pants for crying out loud!
