Eye of the Tiger?
6. Extra knitting time on my latest project, Green Gable
7. It's taco night, mmmm - with all my loved ones home safe at the end of the day, gathered around the dinner table!
Do you have a favorite day of the week?
Every once in awhile you find something that you all of the sudden HAVE to have.... even though five minutes ago, you didn't even know it existed.
My very good friend and walking buddy has three very cute kids. The girls babysit for them from time to time. Last week, Kaity was getting ready to go babysit and she told me, "I'm teaching the kids to knit tonight!" So, she gathered up three sets of needles and three balls of yarn, and off she went.
There would be no Sleeve Island if they were all like this.
After braving the cold (37 degrees) and threatening rain for my walk this morning, I stopped off at the mailbox on my way home, and am I glad I did! (...not to mention, I checked the mailbox THREE times yesterday in anticipation of these items!)
I'm kinda loving our cold snap, well -because for Southern California it's an anomaly!
As much as I LOVE cold weather, and cold weather clothes.... sweaters, jackets, knitwear, I despise being cold. I would MUCH rather be hot than cold. I especially hate trying to get warmed up after being cold. I finally had to give up swimming for the winter when the water got to be 68 and even in my wetsuit, I would get so cold that my feet would cramp when I got into the warm shower afterwards.
One of my goals for the new year is to step up my everyday attire a notch.
OK - Kaity says I HAVE to post so people won't think I ran away from home or something.
